    DIY Sandalwood Essential Oil

Essential oils in the market sometimes have ingredients that may concern you and a way around this problem is to make your own essential oil with this easy recipe:

You will need a dark glass bottle, 1 cup of olive oil or any other carrier oil that you like, 8 grams of sandalwood powder, and an oven-safe pot. Mix all of these ingredients together and put them in the pot. Place the pot into the oven at 200 degrees Fahrenheit and let the mixture cook for about 3 hours making sure to give it an occasional stir. Use a cheesecloth to strain the mixture once it has cooled down, transfer the oil to a bottle and store it in a cool, dry place.

Make sure to use the oil within 6 months and add in a couple of drops of vitamin E oil to elongate the life of this oil.
